Fr. Riley gave an opening prayer.
Mr. Sycks gave a finance overview. He discussed that the parish is in good standing but that we are operating at a reduction due to COVID. There was a discussion regarding how to track and determine what is a reasonable metric for maintaining stability, but ultimately there does not exist any financial threat to the Parish.
Fr. Riley reported on the purchase of the air purifiers in the Church and how there are more to come in response to COVID. We also spoke about the air draft coming from the front doors of the Parish and whether replacing the doors or weather stripping would suffice in reducing the cold draft. There was a discussion regarding Religious Education and keeping families informed of inclement weather via text through a program. Fr. Riley also mentioned the Legacy of Hope funds put to use through installed LED lights in the parking lot thus far, with future funds to be spent on an upgrade to the Church Basement kitchen and building an outdoors Stations of the Cross. There was a mention of the success of the recent Parish Activities Committee raffle and the need for the support of the virtual Christmas tree tags. In support of these our Parish has donated $1000.00 to Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope and the same amount to Visitation House for their Gospel of Life ministry. Fr. Riley also discussed the upcoming Christmas Masses regarding the coordination of guests, government limitations on attendance, decorations, ushers and more.
